Minas | Games, Nintendo Wii | Tuesday, 29 April 2008

Mind Over MutantCrash Bandicoot: Mind Over Mutant is an action-adventure game and the fifteenth in the Bandicoot series. It’s being developed by Radical Entertainment and will be released by Sierra Entertainment in October on the Nintendo Wii, Xbox360, PSP and PS2.

Nintendo Wii owners will be happy to know that development started with the version for their console which means that they should expect the game sooner than others. Anyway, the first game in series was released in 1996 and based around a technological device which places anyone who tries to use it under the control of Doctor Neo Cortex and Doctor Nitrus Brio.

Mind Over Mutant keeps the same story line, but adds more visuals, abilities and new mutants. You play as Crash whose friends are under the doctors’ control and your final mission is to free them. According to Nintendo Wii Fanboy, the guys at Joystic got their hands on the Wii version at a Sierra Spring Event and share their first impressions.

Like Crash of the Titans, Mind Over Mutant offers drop-in co-op play. According to Joystiq, the humor famous to the series remains in tact, and with 8,500 different lines programmed for the characters to say, they hardly (if ever) repeat themselves when shouting random bits of dialogue.

Death Jr.: Root of Evil Comes To Nintendo Wii

Minas | Games, Nintendo Wii | Tuesday, 29 April 2008

Nintendo WiiOne action game that might be a good addition to your Nintendo Wii games collection is Death Jr.: Root of Evil. Developed for the PSP, Eidos Interactive announced that a version for the Nintendo Wii will be available on May 27th.

This shooter looks really cool and seems likely to keep you busy and excited. However, there are several differences compared to the PSP version. First of all, the Wii version will support the controllers’ point-and-shoot system which should add more fun to the game. Improved visuals will also include a higher polygon count, higher-resolution textures and more voice acting.

1UP reports more details.

We’ve only seen one level, but it seems the camera manages to stay out of the player’s way. And if the angle looks awkward, you can adjust the camera look with the remote’s D-pad. This comes in handy during platforming points, where you’re looking for the next ledge on your way across an acid moat or the nearest zip-line across the chasm.

Nintendo Wii owners will undoubtedly be looking forward to Death Jr.: Root of Evil and will be on of the few games of its type worth buying. Here’s some game play video.
